Kecak Dance, a Balinese Traditional Dance

            Kecak Dance also often called The Monkey Dance is a dance in the form of drama that has become very popular performances for domestic and foreign tourists. If you come to Bali then you will see the scenes kecak dance that was promoted in several postcards, tourist guide and others. Kecak is a name that is directly taken after the vote “cak, cak” in saying constantly throughout the show.
         There are some who explain that the word or sound “cak” actually has a meaning important and significant in the show. Not known certainly where the dance Kecak come from and where was first developed, but there is a kind of consensus on the Balinese people that Kecak Dance was first developed into art shows in Bona, Ganyar.

        Kecak Dance was originally a song or a musical sound produced from the blend to form a melody that is usually used to accompany Sahyang Dance sacred, and can only be shows in the temple. In early of 1930s, an astist from the village of Bona-Gianyar trying to develop Kecak Dance by taking part story of Ramayana. The main purpose of this modification is as a replacement Sanghyang to be performing arts in Bali.
